Obituary of Gale Christine Arsenault
It is with heavy hearts, and gratitude for a life filled with love, that the family of Gale Arsenault announces her passing, which occurred on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side. Born in Saint John on October 3, 1981, she was a daughter of Ronald and Catherine (Hawkins) Arsenault. Gale was a caring and devoted mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend. She was a gentle, spiritual woman with a comforting presence, and always had time for anyone who needed her. She loved being outdoors and staying active through walking, running, hiking and otherwise enjoying nature. She was an avid reader and self-professed "geek", and also had a fondness for old movies. Gale was a valued manager with Teed Saunders Doyle, specializing in tax, who always worked towards higher certification and pursued additional knowledge in her field. She always made time for her community through volunteer work, and also devoted time to Gentle Path Counselling as treasurer. In addition to her parents, Gale will be missed by her children: Clay Arsenault and Ava Van Rooyen; her sisters, Jill and Michelle Arsenault (Roger Legere); her boyfriend Boon Kek; maternal grandmother, Doreen Hawkins; nieces, Shelby and Brittany; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and all those whose lives she touched throughout her journey. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 4-8 pm. A Celebration of Gale’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 12:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Beatrice Hunter Research Centre or a charity of the donor’s choice.
