Doug was a very kind person. I really only met him once and that was because he was putting a Lifeline system into my friends home. My friend and cancer and Doug knew she was in her last days. Doug opened the book with contracting and pricing details, cleared his throat and said that with his sales he could give a free 2 week trial. He never got paid for the service . My friend died 4 days later. Doug knew when to sell and when to minister. I never forgot this gesture. I do know JoAnne, and I want you to know that you had a great dad.

Dear Scott, You have often talked about your father, the "candy man," who brought home so many candies that it made you adverse to mint chocolate. I know you loved him very much and that he loved you. I am so sorry for your loss. I am sending you a big big big hug across the continent, and I wish I would be there to support you, as you have supported me, and to deliver the hug in person. I am there for you, whatever you need. Best wishes for you and your family. Annie
