Obituary of Mary Jo-Anne Langlais
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Jo-Anne Langlais announces her passing, which occurred on Sunday, October 23, 2016. Jo-Anne was the proud daughter of the late Fred and Kaye Blizzard and is survived by her sisters, Sue (Harold) Coughlan, Kathy (John) Hackett and Janet (Terry) Daley; as well as her close friend and cousin, Barb Prescott. She held fond memories of her siblings, Johnny, Paul, Colleen and Michael who passed away from Cystic Fibrosis in their youths. She will be warmly remembered by her children, Ted, Pat, Andrea and Jamie and their spouses, Diana, Meghan, John and Audreyrose. Jo-Anne was a fun and nurturing grandmother to Fred, Sofia, Meara, Tyler and Hudson. Jo-Anne was a life-long resident of Loch Lomond. She was involved with the CF Foundation in the 70’s and 80’s and in later years with breast cancer awareness. Jo-Anne taught for many years at Simonds and Bayside Jr. High Schools. Her family will affectionately remember her artistic creativity and hand-made crafts. Visiting will be at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Church, 4347 Loch Lomond Road, Saint John on Thursday, October 27, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Canada – Saint John Chapter or the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
