Obituary of Albert J. Melanson
Melanson, Albert J.- Albert passed away peacefully at Rocmaura on April 5, 2017 with his wife and family by his side. He was born on January 19, 1928 in Bronson Settlement, NB to the late Alphee and Mary (Oulette) Melanson. He is survived by his wife Eunice (Burrage), his sons: Don (Stephen) of Toronto, Robert of Saint John and John Murray of Alberta and his daughter Lorraine Sutherland (David) of Ridgeway, ON. He is also survived by step-son Robert Vey (Barb) and step-daughters: Elaine Danahy, Joanne MacMillan (Dan McCoy) and Paulette Seely (Scott), 4 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 8 step-grandchildren and 5 step-great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Albert was predeceased by his son Paul, brothers: Ammil and Gerard Melanson and sisters: Margaret Richard, Norma Bougouis, Adeline Cormier and Bella Arsenault. He was the last surviving sibling of his family. Arrangements are under care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). No Viewing, flowers or funeral service will held at Albert’s request. Online condolences may be made at www.brenansfh.com or donations to the Rocmaura Foundation or a charity of donor’s choice would be appreciated. The family would like to thank everyone at Rocmaura. Your care, kindness and compassion towards Albert will not be forgotten.
