Obituary of Gloria Helen Milton

The death of Gloria Milton of Saint John occurred on Monday, October 17, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Born on January 9, 1925 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marion (Corkum) Humphrey. Gloria is survived by her daughters, Linda Allen (Eddy) of Gibsons, BC (Sunshine Coast) and Nancy Journeay of Saint John; grandchildren, Robert "Robbie" Allen (Christine) and Gary Journeay; precious great-grandchildren, Eloise and Frances Allen; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Gloria was also predeceased by her husband, Robert McEachern; sister, Betty McEachern and brothers, Harold and Billy Humphrey. Gloria’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital GEM Unit (her second family) for the excellent and compassionate care that was provided to her. Although there will be no visitation, relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service, which will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 10:00 AM. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue or Romero House.
