Obituary of Alfred Joseph Boudreau
The death of Alfred "Freddy" Boudreau of Saint John, cherished husband of 26 years to Joanne Taylor occurred on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on November 7, 1946 in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Theodore and Valerie (Huard) Boudreau. Prior to his retirement, Freddy was employed as a custodian at various locations throughout the city. He loved fishing, blueberry picking and was an avid wrestling fan. In addition to his wife, Joanne, Freddy is also survived by his children, Joey Boudreau (Robin) of Ontario and Vicky Sherwood (Phil) of New Brunswick; step-daughters, Vickie Bravo of Alberta, Sherry-Lynn Taylor of Saint John, Margaret Taylor of Saint John and Jennifer Frank (Brian) of Alberta; sisters, Marcelle Boudreau (Norman), Rose Gauthier, Geraldine Arseneau (Yvon), Jeannette Chamberlain (Arthur) all of Bathurst and Prisella Soucy (Norman) of Sussex; many grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Arnold and Gordon. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM, which will be immediately followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM, all from Brenan’s Chapel. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
