Obituary of William Beverly Worden

The death of William "Bill" Worden of Quispamsis, beloved husband of Mary (Hersey) Worden occurred unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on October 2, 1943 in Saint John, he was the son of the late William and Dorthea (Marshall) Worden. Prior to his retirement, Bill was employed for many years as a crane operator with Saint John Shipbuilding. He always enjoyed the times spent with those he loved and especially adored the special times with Mary. Bill also enjoyed boating and fishing. He will be sadly missed. In addition to his wife, Mary, Bill is also survived by his children, Sherry Healey (Harold) of the Kingston Peninsula, Scott Worden (Tina) of Fairfield, Stacey Worden (Aurele) of Saint John, Stephen Worden of Alberta, Steven Sullivan (Jessika) of Rothesay and David Sullivan (Jo-elle) of Saint John; siblings, William "Larry" Worden (Marilyn) of Quispamsis, James Worden (Eleanor) and Dorothy Brinson (Herbie) all of the Kingston Peninsula and Shirley Bolter (Roy) of New Brunswick; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, best-friend, Leonard Caissie of Saint John; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by his first wife, and the mother of his children, Sheryl Worden; and his sisters, Audrey Jones and Joan Bava. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
