Obituary of Katherine A. Reid
It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Katherine Ann Reid "Timmy" "Timpster", which occurred on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Katherine was born in Saint John, as well as raised and cared for by her loving family for her whole life, and was a daughter of the late Donald and Genevieve (Keleher) Reid. Timmy had an outgoing, kind and funny personality which left anyone who met her feeling blessed. She had numerous funny "one liners". She got to know everything about everyone she met, and never spoke a bad word about anyone. Timmy never let her special needs diagnosis stop her from enjoying life, and was especially interested in puzzles, Barney, and playing many musical instruments. She will be missed by her sister Karen "Babe" Burr (the late Edward); nephews, Chris (Sam) and Matthew (Erika); a niece, Alisha (Brian); great nephews, Noah, Benjamin, Malakai and Greyson; special cousin and caregiver, Cheryl Potter and her son Kyle; best friends and neighbours, Faith Wright, Lisa Lanteigne, Darren Blanchard, Larry Martin; as well as many cousins, friends and all those whose lives she touched along the way. In addition to her parents, Timmy was predeceased by her maternal and paternal grandparents; infant sister, Patricia; and brother Donnie Jr. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 4-8 pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 12:00 pm. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit, Alzheimer Society, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
