Obituary of Carolyn Mary Legere
The death of Carolyn Legere (nee Whalen) of Saint John occurred on Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on September 27, 1955 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Rita (Desroche) Whalen. Carolyn was employed as a hairdresser, a career she truly enjoyed and where many friendships were made. She was also a skilled artist and enjoyed played darts. Carolyn will be sadly missed. Carolyn is survived by her children, Troy Legere (Tiffany) of Saint John and Charlene Legere of British Columbia; sister, Dianne Kirkpatrick (Kenny) of the Kingston Peninsula; brother, Brian Whalen of Saint John; special grandchildren, Dante, Michael and Michelle; niece, Cherl Kirkpatrick; as well as nephews, Kenny Kirkpatrick and Jesse Whalen. Besides her parents, Carolyn was also predeceased by her sister, Debbie Whalen and brother, Ken Whalen. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. The funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
