Obituary of Mary Evelyn Gray
Gray, Mary Evelyn "Evie" -- It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mary Evelyn "Evie" Gray, wife of the late Charles "Ronnie" Gray, announces her passing which occurred on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at Rocmaura nursing home. Born in Saint John, NB on October 16, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Leanore (Bastarache) LeBlanc. Evie will be missed by her children: Ron, Helen, Susan and Ruth Gray, and Mary Allen; grandchildren, Shawna Shannon, Andrea Gauthier (Luc), Lisa Heft (Troy) and Terra Allen; great grandchildren, Kally, Colby, Maxime, Landen, Isaiah, Chelsie and Ayden; siblings, Anne (Rèal), Alphèe (Alma), Edna, Laura and Pierre (Lisè); as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents and husband, Evie was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia "Sissy" Gray; and siblings, Amelia, Medric, Raymond, Maurice and George. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 3-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 12:10pm from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Interment will take place at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Kite Woch or the Cathedral Restoration Project.
