Obituary of Verna Jean Colwell

Verna Jean Colwell passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2016 at the Loch Lomond Village. She was born on May 29, 1929 in Gagetown, NB, a daughter of the late Lloyd and Olive (Wiggins) McKinney. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Murray Colwell; a sister, Anne Moore; and brothers, Clifford and Allan McKinney. She will be missed by her daughter, Barbara Hennessey (Wally); her granddaughter, Kristy; sister-in-law, Anna McKinney; as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the staff of the Loch Lomond Village, Maple House, for their loving care of Verna during her stay with them. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). In keeping with Verna’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances to any charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
