Obituary of Doreen Constance Coggins
Coggins, Doreen Constance- Doreen C. Coggins (Wilkins), widow of the late Raymond Coggins, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at her home in Willow Grove. She was born on July 30, 1934 to the late Reginald and Matilda (Sampson) Wilkins. Doreen was employed by Brooke Bond for many years, and was Baptist by faith. She was a member of the W.O. Sargent’s mess and Ladies Auxillary; also a member of the Legion Branch 14. She loved shuffleboard, darts and her feline companion of 20 years, Jasper. Doreen will be missed by her surviving family, her two sons: Keith (Kris Booker) and Terrence, her daughter Kim (Andy) Charlton, her granddaughter Amanda Coggins, her siblings: Ronald Wilkins, Doug Wilkins, Pat Mason, and Geraldine Nielsen along with many nieces, nephews and members of her extended family. Besides her parents and husband Raymond, Doreen was predeceased by her siblings Shirley Gavin, Reginald, Donald, Chester and Harold Wilkins. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will take place on Sunday, July 10 from 2-4 and 6-8. Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at 12:00 PM from Brenan’s Chapel, with interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
