Obituary of Leonard Joseph Mansfield

Mansfield, Leonard "Lenny" Joseph The family of Leonard "Lenny" Joseph Mansfield would like to announce his passing on January 19, 2018 at his home in Saint John. Born on March 30, 1935 in Charlottetown, PEI, he was the son of the late James and Marie (LeBlanc) Mansfield and step-son to the late Adelard Hachey. Lenny worked at the Post Office for the majority of his working life eventually retiring from there. He was an avid Habs fan and was known to all as a staunch Liberal. Above all, Lenny was a devoted family man. He will be sorely missed. Lenny is survived by one sister, Doris (Pepin) Dillon of Fredericton and her daughters, Louise (Ted) Piercy and their son, Todd Piercy all of Fredericton and Karen (Geoff) Munn also of Fredericton and their son, David (Jennifer) Pepin of La Corey, AB and their sons, Bennett and Connor; as well as two nieces and one nephew. Along with his parents, he was also predeceased by one brother, Vincent Mansfield of Toronto (Dec. 2017); two nephews, Vincent Mansfield Jr. and Tyson Piercy; two brothers-in-law, Clement Pepin (Feb. 1976) and Ronald Dillon (Apr. 2008); chosen son, Jamie and last but not least his pet dog, Scruffy. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). In keeping with Uncle Lenny’s wishes, there will be no visitation or Funeral Mass at this time. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Saint John.
