Obituary of Gail Beverley Fogarty
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gail Fogarty announce her peaceful passing which occurred on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Saint John on January 13, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Glendon and Ruth (Blois) Fairweather. Gail will be missed by her children: Kimberly DeBortoli (Giuliano), James Wood (Barb Savoie)and Craig Wood (Laurie Morton-LeBlanc); grandchildren, Giuliano DeBortoli (Tori George), Samantha Howe (Marcus), Sydney DeBortoli (Tyler Bryson), Dylan & Jayden Wood, Cassidy Savoie and Jonathan & Katelyn Wood; a great granddaughter, Mia Howe; step-children, Barbara Ferguson, Chrissie Cyr and Joanne Duplessis; several step grandchildren, including special grandsons, Jacob and Mark; her Aunt Ruth; as well as several special cousins and friends. In addition to her parents, Gail was predeceased by her first husband, Gordon Wood; her second husband, Charles Fogarty; and her siblings, Dana and Glenna "Lane" Fairweather. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A celebration of Gail’s life will be held on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 12:00 pm from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Key Industries, Children’s Wish Foundation, Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit or a charity of the donor’s choice.
