Obituary of Phyllis Elfrieda Bowen
It is with great sadness the family of Phyllis Elfrieda (McIntyre) Bowen, wife of the late Ronald "Jock" Bowen, announce her passing which occurred on June 30, 2016 at the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Nursing Home. Born in Saint John on January 21, 1917, she was a daughter of the late A. Willis and Pearl (Henry) McIntyre. Phyllis is survived by her three sons, David (Lindsay), Norman (Kathryn), and L.R. Arthur Bowen (Agnus Gay); brother Allison "Bim" (Dorothy) McIntyre; sister Elsie Fudge; grandchildren, Derek Bowen, Jillian (Ron) Kearney, Laura (Mark) Dienesch, Jeffrey (Jane) Bowen, Terri Lynn (Pierce) Brudenell, Sarah (Mike) Wowchuk, and Seth (Natalie) Bowen; 16 great grand children; special niece Ann Kitchen; and several other nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother Donald. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visitation on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 5-8 PM. A funeral service will be held from Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel, 111 Paradise Row, on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances to the Church of St. John and St. Stephen Home Inc. would be appreciated by the family.
