Obituary of Gladys Mae Payne
It is with a heavy heart that the family of Gladys Mae Payne, wishes to announce the passing of their Sister and Aunt, at the age of 89, on December 2, 2017, at Rocmaura Nursing Home. Gladys was born on August 29, 1928 to the late James and Ella (Smith) Payne. She is survived by her sisters Jean Linkert, and Marjorie Craig, and many Nieces, Nephews , and great & great-great Nieces and Nephews. Gladys was predeceased by her other siblings Ruth (Payne)Melanson, Vera (Payne)Wescott, Walter Payne and Gracie (Payne) Comeau. She will always be lovingly remembered as a wonderful sister, Aunt and friend. She had a contagious smile and laugh and a love for singing and dancing. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where friends are invited to come visit between the hours of 11 AM to 12 PM, then the Funeral Service will begin in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at 2 PM. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of donor’s choice.
