Obituary of Jean Elizabeth Clinch
With great sadness, the family of Jean Clinch, wife of Byron Charles Clinch, announce her passing on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born February 4, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Elma (Corscadden) Hawkins. Jean was employed with Lyman Purnell Law Firm for 20+ years. Upon retirement, she loved wintering in Florida, and enjoyed going on cruises with Byron. Jean also made many wonderful memories with Byron, family, and friends at their "Happy Ours" cottage on Lake Utopia. All visitors were always made to feel welcome. In addition to her loving husband, Byron, Jean is survived by her brother, John Hawkins; sisters: Shirley Dobson and Helen Eldridge; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Although there will be no visiting, you are invited to join the family for a funeral service at 11 am on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 668 Manawagonish Road, Saint John. Interment will take place at Pennfield Presbyterian Kirk Cemetery at a later date. Remembrances to the Church of the Good Shepherd or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family. Please place online condolences and remembrances at www.brenansfh.com.
