Obituary of Joseph Edmund LeBlanc
The death of Joseph "Edmund" LeBlanc, cherished husband of Carolyn (Hatfield) LeBlanc occurred on Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on January 7, 1936 in Petersville, NB, he was the son of the late Maxime and Julia (McGrath) LeBlanc. Prior to his retirement, "Crow" had a long working career at the Dry Dock as a crane operator. He was a former member of RCL Branch #62 and spent many hours volunteering his time as a driver for the veterans. Besides his wife Carolyn, he is also survived by their children, Bill LeBlanc (Wendy) of Digby, NS, David LeBlanc (Heather) of Moncton, Mary Keesler (William) of North Dakota, Bonnie Higgins (James) of Carters Point, Melissa LeBlanc-Whelpley, Kate-Lynn LeBlanc and Robert LeBlanc all of Saint John; brothers, John and Tony (Treena) all of Saint John and Leo of Halifax; sister, Doreen Abrea of Montreal; 14 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brothers, Jim and Arthur and sisters, Mary, Rita and Theresa. In keeping with Edmund’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
