Obituary of Marsha Lynn Button
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marsha Lynn Button announces her unexpected passing, which occurred at home on Friday, March 31, 2017. Born in Saint John on January 15, 1974, she was a daughter of the late Elias and Margaret (Toole) Button. Marsha was a beautiful, youthful soul who loved her family and having fun. Before moving back to Saint John last year, Marsha enjoyed her life living independently in Trinity Bay, NL, working at A&W and participating in her community. She was very proud of her involvement with the Special Olympics Tri-Con Gentle Giants team in Carbonear. She enjoyed listening to country music and showing off her line dancing moves. Watching Star Trek, going to Rockwood Park to feed the ducks and horses, and cheering for the Saint John Sea Dogs also brought her great joy. Marsha will be deeply missed by her sisters: Amanda Berthiaume and Rachel Perron (Rick); her uncle Bernie Toole; and her beloved nieces and nephew, Zachary and Victoria Button and Meghan and Katlyn Landry; a great niece, Hallee; as well as all those whose lives she’s touched throughout her life. Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424) with visiting on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of Marsha’s life will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 11:00 am from Calvary Temple, 83 Sydney St. Saint John. A private interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension. For those who wish, remembrances can be made to the Tri-Con Gentle Giants Special Olympics team in Carbonear, NL, Cherry Brook Zoo, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
