Obituary of Lily Mae Marshall
It is with great sadness that the family of Lily Marshall, beloved wife of nearly 65 years to the late Ernest "Lloyd" Marshall, occurred on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Bobby’s Hospice. Born on June 1, 1929 in Ripples, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alexander "Sandy" and Violet (MacLean) Sparks. Lily is survived by her son, Thomas "Ian" Marshall (Brenda) of Kingston; daughter, Linda Brown (Harrison) of Quispamsis; daughter-in-law, Valerie Marshall of Apohaqui; siblings, Eileen O’Hara (Thomas) of Calais, ME, Maxine Bell (Earl) of Ripples, Gordon Sparks (Alva) of Quispamsis and Royden Sparks (Yveone) of Ripples; six grandchildren, Sarah, Heather, Chris, Ricci, Tracey and Jason; seven great-grandchildren, Kali, Khloe, Rowan, Luka, Quinn, Charlee and Paige; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her sons, Ernest "Larry" and Eric; siblings, Dorothy Gray (William) and Hugh Sparks; as well as grandchildren, Aaron and Andrea. To honour Lily’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 from the Moss Glen Legion at 1:30 PM. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, Bobby’s Hospice or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 62.
