Obituary of Veronica Margaret Dempsey

It is with a great sense of loss that the family of Veronica Dempsey announce her passing, which occurred on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Rocmaura Nursing Home.  Born on June 19, 1936 in Jacquet River, NB, she was the daughter of Mary (Goodin) Arsenault and the late John Arsenault.

 

Prior to retiring, Veronica had a long and dedicated working career with Northern Telecom.  She always looked forward to social gatherings with her loved ones and was a gracious hostess.  Veronica had a keen eye for design and renovation and in her younger years she enjoyed fishing.

 

Veronica will be lovingly remembered by her children, Richard Dempsey (Yin Hua) of Alberta, Terry Dempsey (Barbara) of Saint John, Susan MacIsaac (Ron) of Hampton and Lorrie Harper (Terry) of Ohio; sisters, Louella London of Ontario, Charlotte King of Saint John, Ida Downey of Saint John and Inez Lepointe (Gus) of Ontario; grandchildren Nicole Carlin (Fenton), Bruce Dempsey, Philip Dempsey (Chantal), Megan Dempsey (Rob), Veronica “Ronnie” MacIsaac (Greg), Keith Harper (Greg), Kory Harper (Sarah), Mikayla Peddle (Rob) and Cindy Harper; several great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her father, she was also predeceased by her son in infancy, Allen and brother, Leonard Arsenault. 

 

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.  A Funeral Liturgy will be held from Brenan’s Chapel on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at 12:00 PM.  Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.

 

For those who wish, remembrances made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB would be appreciated by the family.
