Obituary of Joan Elizabeth Short

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Joan Short announces her passing which occurred on March 27, 2019 at home with her family by her side. Born November 21, 1933 in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter to the late Oliver and Mildred Moore.

Joan lived in Saint John all her life and was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She loved nothing more than the time she spent with her family, who will miss her dearly.

Joan will be lovingly remembered by her children: Frank (Carol), Bruce, Ethel (Dave), Debbie (John), Bernie and Brian (Loree) and siblings: Linda (Ralph), Paul and Wayne along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband, Frank; brothers: Edward, Claude, Lloyd and sister Betty-Jean Moore.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). In keeping with Joan’s wishes, there will not be a visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances in Joan’s name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
