Obituary of Dorothy B. Humphrey
It is with appreciation for a life well-lived that the family of Dorothy Humphrey announces her passing, which occurred on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the Loch Lomond Village. Born in Salt Springs, NB on September 7, 1920 she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Charlotte (Campbell) Davidson. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Dorothy will be missed by her children: Linda Fennell (Jim), Daniel (Betty), Robert (Patsy), Kevin (Joanne) and Stephen (Bev); 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Leigh B. Humphrey; her twin sister Daisy; and her siblings Gordon, Winnie and Marjorie.
Many thanks and appreciation to the staff and Martha for the care given to Dorothy at Dogwood and Cedar Houses at the Loch Lomond Village.
Arrangements are under the care of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (634-7424). Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 12-2 pm followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm in Brenan’s Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at a later date at Riverbank Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Alzheimer Society of NB, or a charity of the donor’s choice.
