Obituary of Vera Leona Williams
WILLIAMS, Vera Leona ? (March 14, 1914 ? October 30, 2004) The death of Vera Leona Williams of Saint John, NB, wife of the late Ralph H. Williams, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday at 90 years of age. Born in Waterborough, NB a daughter of the late Enzley Whitfield and Lily Pearl (Ferris) Ferris, Leona had worked as a Ward Attendant at the Saint John General Hospital. Survived by two sons, Richard R. (Marie) Williams of Bloomfield, NB and Robert G. (Valerie Cairns) Williams of Saint John; one daughter, M. Joyce (Walter) Fischer of Timmins, ON; one sister, Florence M. Jones of Lower Kars, NB; six grandchildren, one step-granddaughter, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by two brothers, Donald and Ottie Ferris and two sisters, Viola Maude Vail and Ethel Violet Barton. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 with visiting on Monday, November 1, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at 11 am. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Old Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor's choice.
