Obituary of Susie Jane McCluskey
The death of Susie Jane McCluskey of Old Black River Road, wife of the late Charles G. McCluskey, Sr., occurred Thursday, May 20, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Born in Apohaqui, N.B. in the year 1912, Susie Jane was the daughter of the late Leonard and Agnes Jane (Roberts) Mason. She was pre-deceased by son Charles G. McCluskey, Jr., brothers Sterling and Roy Mason, and sister Ola Jones. She is survived by son Leonard E. McCluskey and his wife Hermance, of Miramichi, N.B.; grandchildren: Robert and Melissa McCluskey of Saint John, N.B., Pamela (Greg) Hollis of Saint John, N.B., Lizabeth (Brian) O'Shea-Doyle of Douglas, N.B., Leonard K. McCluskey of South Nelson, N.B., and Dr. Alan H. McCluskey of Halifax, N.S.; great-grandchildren: Pamela Emmy O'Shea of Douglas, N.B., Derek and Dakota Hollis of Saint John, N.B. and Owen Robert McCluskey of Saint John, N.B.; brother-in-law John (Eileen) McCluskey of Saint John, N.B., and sister-in-law Dorothy (Francis) McCluskey of Montreal, P.Q.; along with several nieces and nephews. Susie Jane was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B. (634-7424) with visiting on Monday, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Waterloo Street, Saint John, on Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
