Obituary of Margaret Jean Hunter
The death of Margaret Jean Hunter of Bains Corner, NB occurred on Wednesday, August 18, 2004 at the Rocmaura Nursing Home following a period of failing health. Born on June 22, 1925 a daughter of the late William and Beatrice (Miller) Hopey of Bains Corner. Survived by her daughters, Joan (Stephen) Fortune and Myrna (Calvin) Chatterton and son, William (Deborah Conley) Hunter, all of Bains Corner; two granddaughters; two grandsons; one great grandson; three sisters, Myrtle (Harold) Dallon of Lakewood, NB, Myrna (Don) Stresman of Ontario and Mary Hopey of Chatham, NB; two brothers, Eldon (Linda) Hopey of Calgary,AB and Leslie (Carol) Hopey of Lakewood; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Howard William Hunter; son, Alward Stewart Hunter and two sisters, Marion and Eva Hopey. Through all her adversities, she always had a smile for everyone and a special love for her favorite nephew, Eric. Resting at Bains Corner United Church with visiting on Thursday, August 19, 2004 from 7-9 pm and Friday, August 20, 2004 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm with funeral service on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 11 am at Bains Corner United Church. Interment will follow in Browns Cemetery, Bains Corner. In lieu of flowers the family has requested remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, the Canadian Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424.
