Obituary of Clayton S. Campbell
The death of Clayton Stanley Campbell, of Ellerdale Street, Saint John, husband of Ethel (Clarke) Campbell occurred on Saturday, June 5, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Robert Lester and Olive (Hovey) (Campbell) Andrews. Clayton was employed with the City of Saint John in the summer and worked as a longshoreman in the winter for many years. Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters Dawn (Fred) Dixon, Marjorie (Irvine) Mitchell, Virginia (Delbert) Friars all of Saint John, three brothers Ralph (Jean) Campbell, Burton (Pearl) Campbell and Clarence Campbell all of Saint John, sister Marjorie (Winston) Smith of Cambridge Narrows, sister-in-law Tryphena Clarke of Saint John, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by sister-in-law Dorothy Campbell, two brothers Ernie Andrews and Leonard Andrews. By request there will be no funeral home visitation. The committal service and prayers will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick or donor's choice.
