Obituary of John F. Keith
The death of John F. Keith, husband of Lydia Parlee (Lawson) Keith, occurred on May 2, 2004, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Saint John. During WW II he served with the Royal Canadian Artillery and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 64. He was a member of Local # 18 and was employed in the communications center with the City of Saint John from where he retired in 1982. Besides his wife he is survived by his sons Charles R. and his wife Terry of Dartmouth, NS, James and his wife Margaret of Black River, NB, his daughters Mary Lockhart and her husband Alden of Grand Bay, Patricia Brown and her husband Roger of Victoria, BC, his brother Grenville Thomas and his wife Mary of Rothesay, his sister Lillian and her husband Robert Epton of Saint John, his 9 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His brothers Herbert, Vincent and Claire Thomas predeceased him. At his request there will not be any visiting or funeral service. Following cremation at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), the family will gather for the Service of Committal at Fernhill Cemetery on Saturday, May 22, 2004 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers remembrances made to the New Brunswick Lung Association or the Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
