Obituary of Mary Alice Maxwell
The death of Mary Alice Maxwell, of 54 Somerset Park, Saint John, wife of the late Harry E. Maxwell, occurred on Thursday, April 21, 2005 at her residence. Born in Aulac, NB, she was the daughter of the late A. Hazen and Emma Alice (Brown) Etter. Mary was a Receptionist at Brenan's Funeral Home for many years before her retirement. She had previously worked at Sears and W.J. Crawford & Co. Ltd. Mary lived in Sackville for 10 years before moving to Saint John and was a member of St. Luke's Anglican Church and former member of the Saint John Volunteer Center. She is survived by two sons, Gordon Maxwell (Dianne) of Saint John and Scott Maxwell (Candace) of Moncton, one daughter, Dale Campbell of Saint John, one sister, Alberta Crawford of Fredericton (formerly of Saint John), five grandchildren, Karen Simon (David), Alison Campbell (Jennifer), Gillian Maxwell, Jacob Maxwell and Eliza Mary Maxwell, four great grandchildren, Alex, Sydney, Adam and Sarah Simon, several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Carl, Donald and Lionel Etter and one sister, Bernice Carter. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 11:00 AM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
