Obituary of Dorothy Phyllis Weston

The death of Dorothy Phyllis Weston, of 30 Evergreen Avenue, Saint John, wife of devoted husband of 59 years, Charles Weston, occurred peacefully on Friday, June 25, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a lengthy illness. Born in St. Martins, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Hilton and Alice Emma Jane (MacDonald) Brown. Mrs. Weston was a School Teacher in her younger years in Tynemouth Creek and Bayview, in a one room school house and later worked for Revenue Canada for many years, until her retirement. She was a member of All Saints Anglican Church, Loch Lomond, L.O.B.A., St. Martins Branch and the Order of the Eastern Star. Dorothy was a strong person who had great faith and love for her family and grandchildren. She was always putting others needs above her own, even through her many years of illness. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. Besides her loving and devoted husband, she is survived by one son, Gary (Bonita) of Fairfield, one daughter, Sherry Fawcett (Norman) of Tynemouth Creek, two brothers, Austin Brown (Ruby) of Bayview and Arthur Brown (Patricia) of St. Martins, one sister, Linda MacDonald (Ian) of Bayview, sister-in-law, Helen Brown also of Bayview, three grandchildren, Meaghan Fawcett, Michael Weston and Karen Weston, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Haliburton “Hallie” Brown. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, St. Martins, on Monday, June 28, 2004 at 1:00 PM. Interment in Mosher Hill Cemetery. Remembrances to All Saints Anglican Church, Loch Lomond or Holy Trinity Anglican Church, St. Martins would be appreciated.
