Obituary of Leona Ann Wetmore
The death of Leona Ann Wetmore of the Carleton-Kirk Lodge Nursing Home, wife of the late Wilfred O. Wetmore, occurred peacefully on Friday, September 24, 2004, following a brief illness. Born in McAdam, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ann DeWitt. Mrs. Wetmore was a School Teacher and Principal at MacDonald Consolidated School for many years, as well as several other schools on the Kingston Peninsula before her retirement. She is survived by one son, Thomas O. Wetmore (Sharon) of Saint John, one grand daughter, Kelli Wetmore and one great grand daughter, Chloe Wetmore. She was predeceased by one son, Frederick (David) Wetmore and two sisters, Eleanor Nason and Anastasia (Sissy) Gasper. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Sunday 2-4 PM only. Funeral service will be held at All Saints Anglican Church, Clifton Royal, on Monday, September 27, 2004 at 11:00 AM. Interment in All Saints Anglican Church Cemetery. Remembrances to the Huntington Society would be appreciated by the family. The family wish to extend their thanks to the Staff of Carleton-Kirk Lodge, for the compassion they received and the tender loving care the staff gave to Leona over the past three years.
