Obituary of Joseph James Bamford

The death of Harry Bamford, of Rideau Street, Saint John West, husband of Ethel Christina (Chase) Bamford, occurred Tuesday, May 11, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Montreal, PQ, son of the late Harry and Brigette Bamford. Harry was an avid sportsman, hunting in the fall and fishing in the spring. Gardening and Cribbage were among his other hobbies. He worked at CPCN Telecommunications in Montreal and then back in Saint John, retired for the last 24 years. Besides his wife he is survived by one son Michael of Saint John, one sister Frances McKnight of Saint John, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother Harold Bamford and one sister, Violet Mary Trites. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), with visiting on Thursday 7-9 PM and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mathews Church, Grand Bay-Westfield, on Saturday, May 15, 2004 at 10:00 AM. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
