Obituary of Margaret Gertrude Jones
The death of Margaret Jones occurred on October 1, 2004, at the Loch Lomond Villa, formally of Harmony Drive Saint John, NB. She was the wife of the late Edward Jones, and daughter of the late William and Lena (Cyr) Hunt. Margaret worked at the General Hospital and then as a homemaker until her retirement. She was a member of the United Church Quilters, and Mission Church (St. John the Baptist, St. Clements) Altar Guild. Margaret is survived by two daughters Annabell (Richard) Tobias of Rothesay, NB and Suzanna (Eugene) Carlson of Saint John, NB; son Edward Jones of British Columbia; sister Rita Wilkie of Saint John, NB; nine grandchildren Dorothy, Derek, Daphne, April, Jesse Paul, Diane, Georgia, Carla and Crystal; twelve great grandchildren Matthew, Kaitlyn, James, Kristen, Rebecca, Nicole, Zane, Dominique, Tyler, Devin, Danielle and Dariene; along with her loving dog the Cairn Terrier named Jack. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Margaret Phyllis Jones; daughter in law Jean Jones; three sisters Anne Blackburn, Edith Allen, and Beatrice Hunt; four brothers George, Stanley, Louis and Gordon Hunt. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424). Visitation will be held on Monday October 4, 2004 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Mission Church (St. John the Baptist, St. Clements) on Tuesday October 5, 2004 at 11 am. Interment will follow the funeral service at Fernhill Cemetery. For those who wish remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation.
