Obituary of Ronald George McKay

The death of Ronald George McKay of Saint John, NB occurred on Monday, July 19, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was a son of the late Charles and Mary (McKinnon) McKay. Ron had been employed at the Sugar Refinery and among his many interests he was an avid bowler, enjoyed photography and windsurfing. Ron was also known for being a kind, gentle and generous person and will be missed by all who knew him. Survived by two brothers, Malcolm and John of Saint John; two sisters, Gail Pattman (Allan Wetzel) of Ottawa, ON and Brenda McKay of Vancouver, BC; two nieces, Lisa Dunnett (Todd) and Amy Pattman (Eldon Hicks); one nephew, Scott Mckay; one grand niece, Britney Pattman; three grand nephews, Brandon and Lucas Pattman and Declan Dunnett. Following cremation, visitation will be held at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424 on Thursday and Friday, July 22 & 23, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Service and Interment will be held at a later time in PEI. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice.
