Obituary of Margaret Alma Perkins

While we celebrate a life well lived, we grieve for the passing of Margaret Perkins, loving wife to the late Milton “Bus” Perkins, which occurred on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on March 14, 1925 in St. Martins, she was a daughter of the late George and Myrtle (McFarlane) McIntyre.

Margaret was a woman of faith. She was a member of Hillcrest United Baptist Church for 57 years.  Margaret enjoyed her card games with friends, entertaining and making many different kinds of sandwiches for her guests, and tagging along with whatever her aunt and dear friend, Fran Reid, was up to.

Margaret will be lovingly remembered by her two sons: Bill Perkins and Jack (Nancy) Perkins and her brothers: Roger (Helen) McIntyre and Winston (Madeline) McIntyre.  Besides her parents and husband Bus, Margaret was predeceased by her siblings: Sterling McIntyre and Kathleen Weston.

Margaret’s family wishes to thank all the staff of Parkland Shannex (Millidge Hall) for their care and kindness. Your compassion will not be forgotten.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) where visitation will take place on Monday, April 15 from 2-4 and 6-8.
