Obituary of Bruce Joseph Jordan
The death of Bruce Joseph Jordan, husband of Catherine Evelyn (Hickey) Jordan of Saint John, NB, occurred on Friday, September 17, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Bedeque, PEI he was a son of the late Frank and Effie (McKinnon) Jordan. During World War II Bruce served with the Royal Regiment of Canada Infantry in England and France and was a life long member of the Jervis Bay Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. Bruce loved his family and will be sadly missed by them; he was an avid bowler, dart player and naturist who enjoyed his garden and summers on PEI. Survived by his wife; seven children, Lorraine (David) Gray, Kenneth Jordan, Ronald (Brenda) Jordan, Debra Jordan, Donna Saulnier, Judith (Steve) Kemp and Joan McKinnon all of Saint John; five sisters, Genevieve Caseley of Alberta, Audrey Jordan of Saint John, Beatrice Kennedy, Dolly Scott and June (Wilfred) Gillis all of PEI; seventeen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; two sisters, Shirley Gabriel and Stella Rinaldo and two brothers, Charles and William Jordan. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. Following cremation a memorial service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at 11 am. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
