Obituary of Gertrude E. Foster
The death of Gertrude E. 'Nan' Foster, wife of the late Albert W. Foster, occurred on February 3, 2005,at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Melville R. Blizzard and Maud Marion (Wilson) Blizzard. Her greatest love in life was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and bingo. She is survived by her son Ronald and his wife Eileen of Grand Bay-Westfield, her daughter Carol and her husband Michael Maher of Saint John, her brothers Leonard Blizzard and his wife Bernice of Bayswater, Arthur Blizzard and his wife Joan of Saint John, her sister Rita McKnight of Ontario, her grandchildren Louis, Jodi and Susan Lynn, her great-grandchildren Jacob, Matthew and Belle and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Albert and her brothers Fred and Lorne Blizzard. Resting at Brenans Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2005, at 1:00 p.m., from Brenans Chapel. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Remembrances made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
