Obituary of Lillian Florence Grant
The death of Lillian (Hurley) (Osborn) Grant of Saint John, NB, wife of the late, Kenneth Grant, occurred at Rocmaura Nursing Home on December 7, 2004. Lillian was a long term resident of Rocmaura, she was a kind and loving person with her sweet and friendly personality. Born in Saint John on June 6, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Captain Frank and Anna Hurley. In her youth, Lillian was a superb athlete, she loved to swim and dive and was an avid speed skater. She is survived by her four sons; Douglas (Dawn) Osborne of Grand Bay, NB, Mark (Susan) Osborne of Vancouver, BC, Ralph (Tamara) Osborne of Toronto, ON and Mike Osborne of Indonesia, three sisters; Kay Connolly of Saint John, Anna Cummings of Oromocto, NB, and Trudy Coleman Bench of Florida, USA, five grandchildren, one great granddaughter, many nieces and nephews, her very special friend, Dora Watson and former daughter-in-law, Penny Osborne. Lillian was predeceased by her brothers; Fred and Frank and sisters; Bessie and Mary. Arrangements under the care and direction of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 11:00 am in Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rocmaura Nursing Home or to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
