Obituary of Pearl C. Kaine
The death of Pearl Cecelia (Bunny) Kaine of Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, and formerly of Lansdowne Avenue, wife of the late George Harold Kaine, occurred at Rocmaura on Monday, June 14, 2004 following a courageous battle with Alzheimer Disease. Born in Saint John, NB, she was a daughter of the late William and Catherine (Myers) Gaudet. She was a lifelong resident of this city and a member of St. Pius X Parish. She is survived by a daughter, Susan (Gerry) Eldridge of Ottawa; four sons, Kenneth W. (Carol) and George P. (Donna) , both of Ottawa, David H. (Judy), John Robert (Bob); half-sister Margaret Young and special friend Joe LeBlanc all of Saint John; nine grandchildren, Scott, Gracelyn and Julia of Saint John and Patrick, Kate, Cathy, Ron, Mike and Margo, all of Ottawa; five great-grandchildren, numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by brothers, Edward, Benjamin, William and Pat, and sisters, Sophie, May, Rita ,Winnifred and Irene. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, Somerset Street, on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Remembrances may be made to Rocmaura Nursing Home Foundation. A special thank you to the staff of Rocmaura Nursing Home for the wonderful care shown to Bunny. Interment will take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
