Obituary of Gordon E. Craft
The death of Gordon Ellsworth Craft of Manawagonish Road, husband of the late Mary Eileen (Patterson) Craft occurred on Tuesday, August 31, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late Ernest and Hazel (Earle) Craft. Gordon was employed as a messenger for the Bank of Nova Scotia, Brunswick Square and Prince William St. until his retirement. He was a member of St. Peters Parish, coached softball and hockey, enjoyed horses, curling and bowling. He is survived by three sons Tim (Kim) Craft of Acamac, Bob (Sharon) Craft and Gordie (Nora) both of Saint John, four daughters Kelly (Scott) Robinson, Patti (Wayne) Stewart, Mary Cole all of Saint John and Sharon (Dale) Jardine of Lantz, NS, two brothers Frank (Aileen) Craft of Saint John and Norman (Patsy) of Peticodiac, three sisters Helen Rogers, Shirley (Ronald) Mills and Mary Lou (Gerry) Schofield all of Saint John, sixteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by three brothers Hazen, Donald and Charles, sisters Dee Dee (Eileen), Audrey and Lucy. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Thursday, September 2, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 3, 2004 from St. Peters Church at 10:00 am. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB.
