Obituary of Marjorie McCoubrey
The death of Marjorie McCoubrey, of Ridgewood Veteran's Wing, Saint John, occurred suddenly on Sunday, June 20, 2004 at her residence. Born in Sydney, NS, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Carrie (Lambert) McCoubrey. Marjorie was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Canadian Army and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. She spent most of her life in New Glasgow, PEI, where she served as Post Mistress and lived the past 30 years in Saint John. Marjorie was a member of the United Church of Canada. She is survived one brother, Richard McCoubrey, one sister, Irene McAdam both of Saint John, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Rex, Allison and Harry, two sisters, Ruth and Audrey and a special nephew, Jeffrey Scott McAdam. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 23, 2004 at 2:15 PM. Interment in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances to the charity of the donors choice would be appreciated. The Royal Canadian Legion will hold a tribute to a Veteran service on Tuesday 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
