Obituary of Patricia Jean Legault

It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Patricia Jean Legault, announce her passing on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born in Garden City, Kansas, on May 26, 1943. She was the daughter of the late Gene and Dorothy (Markel) Hilliard. Pat was employed with Roy’s Midway for over thirty years until her retirement.

She will be missed by her son Kevin Legault (Cathy) of Passekeag, and her daughter Tami Gagne (Leo) of Hammond River; brothers, Bob (Dena) of Georgia, Mike (Andrea) of Oklahoma, and Steve (Tonja) of Missouri; grandchildren, Christopher Legault (Stacy), and Madison Gagne; great-grandchildren, Owen and Brayden Legault; nieces and nephews, James Hilliard, Anne Gagnon, Clint Hilliard, and Heather Marquez; Aunt Sylvia Hilliard, many special cousins and former husband, Ken Legault.

Pat loved spending time with her family and had a very special bond with her grandchildren, Christopher and Madison. She was very proud to have two great grandsons, Owen and Brayden, and Owen called her "Big Grandma". Pat was very generous and never forgot to get that special card for a birthday or other special occasion.  She always gave two cards, one funny card to make you laugh and one sentimental card to let you know how much she cared for you. She kept in close contact with her family in the United States with many cards, letters, and phone calls.

The family would like to thank the staff from the Loch Lomond Villa for the care, kindness and support they gave to Pat and her family. Thank you to friends, Julie Follett Larrison and Krista Cochrane for offering their time and support.  Special thanks to Keith Osborne who gave prayers and comfort to the family. Thank you to all the family and friends who have offered their love and support at this difficult time.

The first hummingbird we see this spring will be Pat checking in to make sure we're all doing well.

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date at Fairview Cemetery in Montezuma, Kansas, USA. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424). Remembrances may be made to the Loch Lomond Villa or a charity of the donor’s choice.
