Obituary of Carol I. Green

Carol Irene (Straight) Green of Taylor Avenue, was received into God's hands on Thursday, May 27, 2004 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Born in Acamac, NB, she was the daughter of Irene (Kyle) Straight and the late Kenneth Straight. Carol was a life long resident of the North End, was employed with the Canadian Red Cross as a homecare worker. She was an avid reader, quilter, enjoyed bingo and loved animals. Besides her mother she is survived by her loving partner and companion Fred MacLean, one son Jim Green of Saint John, one daughter Cathy (Michael) MacDonald of Nauwigewauk, NB, three brothers Kenneth (Terri) Straight of Ontario, Wayne (Joan) Straight of Saint John and Kim Straight of Alberta, two sisters Sharon (Ron) Vautour of Saint John and Karen Straight of Hampton, NB, one grandson Adam MacDonald, several nieces. Besides her father she was predeceased by one brother Raymond. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424) with visiting on Sunday, May 30, 2004 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 31, 2004 at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Centenary Queen Square Care Centres.
