Obituary of Allan George Gray
The death of Allan George Gray, husband of G. Patricia (Logan) Gray of Saint John, NB, occurred on Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John a son of the late Murray E. and Violet M. (Tait) Gray, he had been employed as a stevedore with the ILA-Local 273 and had served with the Armed Services during the Korean Conflict. Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Michael (Tammy) Gray and Jeffery (Cathy) Gray, both of Saint John; three daughters, Elizabeth Carey (Terry McAuliffe) of Florida, Susan (Charlie) Alchorn of Saint John and Carole-Ann (Vincent) O'Neill of Saint John; three brothers, John Gray of Hampton, Peter (Jean) Gray of Coles Island, NB and William (Carol) Gray of Saint John; four sisters, Mary (Bobby) Lee, Molly (Leon) Daigle and Dorothy Snodgrass, all of Saint John and Rosie (Jimmy) Kazimer of Hampton, NB; eight grandchildren, Joe, Lindsay, Jeremy, Erin, Katelyn, Sam, Matthew and Christopher; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Murray Gray and sister, Shirley Melanson. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. At Allan's request there will be no visiting or funeral service. A reception for family and friends will be held on Sunday, January 30, 2005 from 2-4 pm at 54 Cooks Lake Rd., Saint John. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
