Although in recent years, Louis was affiliated with St. Peter's Church, he attended at. Luke's Anglican Church and was a member of the Boys Church Choir. Even at an early age, Lou was fond of music and played many instruments. Louis served with the military, the Royal Canadian Engineers and was stationed in Chilliwack BC, and Petawa, ON.
