Obituary of Walter S. Turnbull
Passed away peacefully at his residence. The death of Walter Stanley Turnbull of Fegan Court, husband of the late Jean (Pender) Turnbull, occurred on Monday, May 24, 2004. Born in Saint John he was the son of the late George and Louise (Bellingham) Turnbull. Walter had served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II and lived the greater part of his life in Saint John. He was employed with Centracare as an orderly for over 30 years until his retirement in 1971. He is survived by one son George (Sally Hall) Turnbull of St. Andrews West, Ontario, one daughter Marie (Peter) Williams of Ottawa, one sister Hazel Drummond of Saint John, eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife and parents he was predeceased by one son Douglas, his brother George, three sisters Elsie Walker, Grace Hillier and Florence Golding. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Friday, May 28, 2004 from 1:15 pm to 2:15 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, May 28, 2004 from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:15 pm. Interment will be held in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation of Canada.
