Obituary of Dorothy Mae LeBlanc
The death of Dorothy Mae LeBlanc, of Bridgetown, NS, formerly of Stephenson Tower, Saint John, wife of the late Herbert J. LeBlanc, occurred on Friday, April 1, 2005 at the Mountain Lea Nursing Home, Bridgetown, NS. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Mary (McManus) Splane. Dorothy was a longtime member of Holy Trinity Parish and their CWL and had sung in musicals at Holy Trinity with her husband Herb. She was formerly employed with Scovil Bros., M.R.A.'s and Sears and was a former member of the East Saint John Lions Club and the Glee Club. She is survived by two daughters, Rose Marie Stack of Greenwood, NS and Heather LeBlanc and her husband William Power of Granville Ferry, NS, five grandchildren, Diane Kakonyi, Wayne Stack, Michael Stack, Paul Stack and Maegan Power, one great granddaughter, Molly Kakonyi, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Laurie Myles. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at 12:00 Noon. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Remembrances to the charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated.
