Obituary of Gerald F. Kindred
The unexpected death of Gerald Francis Kindred of Reeds Point, husband of Edna (Stevens) Kindred occurred on Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at his residence. Gerry was born in Saint John the son of the late James and Greta Mary (O'Hara) Kindred. Gerry was hardworking, dedicated, loving father and husband. He was involved with the Kinsmen, a volunteer for the Peninsula Fire and Ambulance Department for 20 years. He also worked many years at Calps Department Store and 20 years for New System Laundry before retiring in 2002. He is survived by his wife Edna, four sons Michael (Karen) Kindred of Fredericton, James Kindred, Kenneth Christie both of Saint John, Gerald (Shianne) Kindred of Reeds Point, five daughters Leatha (Joe) Carr, Kimberly (Alex) McIassac both of Saint John, Heather (Reo) Pennell of Alberta, Tammy (Eugene) Waddell of Reeds Point, Angela (Sonny Dempster) Kindred of Upham, one brother Albert J. Kindred of Saint John, one sister Dorothy (Kirk) Worden of Fredericton, fifteen grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and an aunt. He was predeceased one sister Leathe (Bunny) Kindred. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB, (506-634-7424) with visiting on Thursday from 2 - 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from All Saints Anglican Church, Clifton Royal, on Friday at 2:30 pm. Interment will take place in All Saints Anglican Church Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the charity of the donors' choice.
