Obituary of Lorraine Josephine Nairn
The death of Lorraine J. (Babe) Nairn of Saint John, NB occurred on Wednesday, April 20, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Saint John on April 25, 1936, a daughter of the late John “Jack” and Alberta (Cassidy) Nairn. Lorraine had trained as a Registered Nursing Assistant and through her great love of children, she worked in Montreal and Toronto with her “sick kids” which included Thalidomide babies and children with cancer. She had a great love of Jazz, dancing and enjoying life with family and friends. She enjoyed her many nieces and nephews. Survived by her loving companion, Al Cormier, one brother; Herbert (Anna) Nairn of Victoria, BC; one sister, Jean Morris of Saint John and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by brothers, Robert and Ralph and sister, Phyllis Trecartin. Arrangements are under the care of Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506) 634-7424. By Lorraine's request there will be no visiting at the Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel, Monday, April 25, 2005 at 2:15 pm. Remembrances may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
