Obituary of Ronald H. Nealey
Rex passed away peacefully on September 30th surrounded by family, friends and extended family (staff of the CAM Unit, St. Joseph's Hospital). Rex was born in Saint John and was the son of the late Alice (McNaught) and Herbert Nealey. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gail (Jeffries), his daughter Beth (Wayne) Garnett, dear grandchildren, Taylor, Tyson & Tori, sister Doreen Arnenson, brothers Murray, Charles and Paul, many nieces and nephews. Rex went to sea at an early age, worked for the City of Saint John, was a member of the Boiler-makers Union and a proud member of Local 213 Plumbers and Pipefitters for nearly 40 years. Rex loved to talk and chatting with his friends & neighbors was his passion. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Oct. 3 from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (506-634-7424). Funeral Service will be held at Brenan's Chapel on Monday, Oct. 4, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Saint John, CAM Unit of St. Joseph's Hospital or a charity of choice.
